Important Notice Regarding Concealed Carry Course Registration

Due to the limited seating available in our concealed carry courses, each registration reserves a seat that cannot always be rebooked on short notice.

For this reason, cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 10 days of the scheduled course date will be subject to a $200 administrative fee. This policy helps offset the significant loss of revenue that occurs when a reserved seat cannot be filled.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage students to register only when they are confident they can attend as scheduled. If you have questions or anticipate a scheduling conflict, please contact our office as early as possible so we can assist you.

CCW Renewal Course The classroom simulator was a real eye opener about how quickly events can occur. We debriefed each event and the entire class learned from one another. The range portion contained clear instructions ensuring everyone’s safety and success. I’ve had my CCW permit for 12 years and have had a lot of firearms instructors. Practical Defense Systems' 16-hour CCW course is hands down one of the best classes you can spend your hard-earned money on, especially in this economy. I would 10/10 recommend it to all my family members before they begin carrying. I have been carrying a firearm overtly for over 16 years and concealed for nearly nine years. During that time, I've taken numerous tactical shooting courses ranging from low to medium speed and drag. Going into this class, I initially thought a 16-hour California CCW course would be a waste of my time and money. However, Joel and Dave's expert knowledge, experience, and the overall flow of the course quickly changed my perspective. The material was well presented, practical, and highly relevant. The significant amount of simulator time was especially valuable and helped reinforce real-world decision-making. I'm very glad I took their course and definitely feel better equipped to carry concealed in the Wild West that is California. Thanks, gentlemen -- I look forward to taking more courses in the future.
NOTICE REGARDING APPROPRIATE USE OF FORCE

The Guard Card class requirements can be confusing. Please read the notice below. It helps clear things up.

  • The guard card course includes both Powers to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force. You must complete both sections at the same school. You cannot complete Powers to Arrest at one school and Appropriate Use of Force at another school.
  • We reserve Appropriate Use of Force classes for our own students. You must complete the online Powers To Arrest section of the Guard Card class BEFORE you can register for the Appropriate Use of Force Section. That is why you cannot register for Appropriate Use of Force online. You have to contact us directly.
  • Once you have completed the online part of the Guard Card course, check the schedule below for Appropriate Use of Force. Then contact our office directly by email or phone to register for the Appropriate Use of Force section. Email: info@pdsclasses.com Phone: 619-663-6811.
  • Your online Guard Card class fee includes both the Powers to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force sections. There is NO additional fee for the Appropriate Use of Force class.
